As a general rule our activities are low risk and targeted the introductory and intermediate markets involving individuals, families and groups of all ages.
Please note: We cannot provide activities to young people under the age of 16 unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old.
Our objective as a company is to encourage and engage with people of all ages & from all walks of life to participate in activities in the outdoors. To promote a greater interest in our natural environment as it is, to appreciate it and respect it in its natural form and to conserve and protect Scotland's own unique biodiversity and cultural heritage so future generations may also enjoy it.
More importantly, to have fun and a great experience and improve your own skills, confidence and self sufficiency while being in the outdoors.
Acitivities in the outoors can be hazardous by nature, however when you are in the company of people experienced and comfortable with being in an outdoor environment then these risks are minimised, additionally we will have carried out risk assessments to all our operational sites and safety procedures are in place to minimise risk.
During all activity sessions and especially with participants of little or no previous experience of an activity they have chosen to be involved in, they must accept a certain element of risk.
Similarly any parent or guardian being accompanied by any person/s under the age of 16 accept the same element of risk on there behalf and should be confident that the young people to be involved are fully aware of what may be expected of them and they are totally commited to engaging in the activities on offer.
As a company we place great emphasis on the comfort and safety of every member of the group and the quality of their experience individually and collectively. We will take all steps to ensure there is minimal risk of injury or to life. We will expect people getting involved to be prepared to get wet and/or dirty while we spend our time outdoors.
When booking with us we also need your agreement on the following points and your co-operation when we are outdoors to minimise risk and ensure your safety and help minimise our potential impact on the environment.
Honesty from all our participants:
We look for honesty from participants with all relevant information, especially any medical conditions and also to be realisitic when informing us of their estimation of their fitness level, abilities and skills, Remember we can tailor out acitivities to suit all abilities.
To be flexible:
As a company we need to be flexible, we may need to use our local knowledge and skills to alter arrangements to compensate for changes in weather or circumstances out with our control. Your willingness also to be flexible can make the difference between a good or bad experience.
To be on time:
The whole world revolves around time, regrettably there never seems to be enough of it. Please make every effort to make it to any previously agreed pick up points for the right time. If you are using your own transport please ensure you arrive at activity site locations in plenty of time. Lateness impacts on the whole group and the operation of your day or tour. We do fully appreciate that situations unfortunately do happen, if you are experiencing any problems after booking please contact us and keep in touch we may be able to help resolve the problem.
Being prepared:
Our being prepared section gives detailed information on the type and quantities of personal clothing recommended and a list of any other equipment you may require depending on which activities or tours you have booked.
Not being under the influence of alcohol or drugs:
Under no circumstances will we allow any person/s overdoing it while on tour will not be permitted to participate in any activities, similarly any person who's behaviour becomes unacceptable for these or any other reason, may be asked to leave the tour, and make other arrangements at their own expense with no entitlement to any refund in full or part.
Please have consideration and don't place our staff in unnecessary difficult situations.
